I Won't Let Go

Went through quite an emotional night yesterday, on my own nonetheless. It's almost like an uphill battle nowadays, tryin to get my messages across without comin off as being aggressive or even selfish. Fightin head-on won't work, of course I know that well, tried and failed numerous times. Even rationale arguments lost and I wonder if they ever won.

I retreated, went back into my cave like I usually do, alone with my thoughts, iPod on shuffle. Can usually seek solace through songs or rather lyrics that seem to be talkin to me at that point of time. This song then appeared out of nowhere. I have the habit of copyin songs from others so I would not have to stick to my own playlist all the time. Occasionally I will find some good songs (most importantly, lyrics), like the one that has given me some much needed comfort last night.

Thank you Rascal Flatts for helpin me get through the night. Much appreciated. I m a stronger person, once again.

It's like a storm
That cuts a path
It breaks your will
It feels like that

You think you're lost
But you're not lost on your own
you're not alone

I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
If you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I won't let go

It hurts my heart
To see you cry
I know it's dark
This part of life
Oh it finds us all
And we're too small
To stop the rain
Oh but when it rains

I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight

And I won't let you fall
Don't be afraid to fall
I'm right here to catch you
I won't let you down
It won't get you down
you're gonna make it
Yeah I know you can make it

Cause I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
And I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I won't let go
Oh I'm gonna hold you
And I won't let go
Won't let you go
No I won't

Another Year of Blessings

Ahem one year older, again! Not someone who resents gettin older but still.. it freaks me out that the BIG 3-0 is nearin! Nevertheless, after reelin in from shocks and disbeliefs of tragedy happenin after tragedy lately, I m honestly, truly glad just to be alive. And I really thank the Good Lord for His blessings.

Due to the fact that 자기야's birthday was very low profile this year, reason being I was seriously a shitty girlfriend, didn't manage to get anythin planned except for a simple surprise by his buddies and I didn't even buy him any birthday gift! Someone kill me please :'(, so I made him promise that he is not to do anythin for my birthday this year as well. Until I get to make it up to him, that is.

But knowin him, he will definitely come up with somethin, however littlest it seems and and knowin me who will somehow get disappointed if he didn't wtf. Contradictin I know but I can live with that haha. However though, my birthday week was not off to a good start. First, I fell on the road last weekend and was gifted with some "pretty" scars on my right knee. Then my period came one day before my birthday. And it didn't help that my raging hormones were cryin for a release and decided that it was the perfect time for a good fight with 자기야. So I was bawling my eyes out when the clock stroked twelve while my dear boyfriend was soundly asleep. Thinkin back now, it was just too stupid! The fight nonetheless. Haha.

Anyway, the next day I received the roses delivery 자기야 was secretly plannin all along! Actually, I kinda guessed it wtf lol. Coz before this, I saw Chloe's instagram pic posing with flowers and secretly openly envied her coz her boy specially arranged flowers delivery for her. And I quietly loudly hinted complained to 자기야 on why he never does it for me hahaha. But when I questioned him after I've gotten the roses, he said he remembered nothin of the sort. God really bless him with a goldfish memory :/

My beautiful roses!

And I've forgotten to mention that 자기야 had his company dinner on my birthday, when else, sigh. Talk bout negative law of attraction! So I didn't get to wait for him to cut my birthday cake. We only had a simple dinner the day before at this AnMour Cafe Concept, prior to the fight hehe. Nicholas brought me to the Sutera branch twice and Jessica told me there is one branch in Mount Austin (nearer to my house) as well. 자기야 and I then went exploring and found it. Food was not spectacular, but overall it was okay and reasonable.

My grilled chicken chop with wedges and mashed potatoes as side dishes

자기야's salmon with mashed potatoes and pasta as side dishes

The flower delivery guy was such a weirdo! He had to ask me twice if I m Elaine Chai. Do I not look like some guy will send me flowers?! Granted, I was not dressed to the nines but still.. wtf. 자기야 also made me a lovely card and the guy was nice enough to put it inside a Hello Kitty plastic bag. I asked 자기야 if he was the one who gave the guy the plastic bag and he said no. Okay now I take back my complaint bout him hahaha.

I can has love voucher!

Told 자기야 that he had basically stolen all my ideas; the 3D pop cut-out and the love voucher. This just proves that I m just lazier and 자기야 was one step ahead of me. So what do one do with such a huge bouquet of pink roses? Selfies of course, duh! Hahaha. It took me such great effort just to fit my face and the whole bouquet into one frame. So must show off lol.

Ending the post with the roses <3

Till then x!

Dear Lord, I wish that happiness will always be upon me. Amen.

Twelve Cupcakes And A Double Movie Date

Been quite some time since I have been on a real date with 자기야, probably because we are basically dating everyday considering the fact that we work together. And while it may seem a good thing to be able to see your boyfriend everyday, better than boyfriends whose whereabouts are often unknown (yes, I have dated someone like that), it does have its downside also.

We got lazy :( Lazy to plan for date nights. Lazy to be oh-so-romantic. It has even become hard for us to decide on what to eat. Sigh. What's worse, dates have become rather expensive these days. Even a simple breakfast of eggs and toast can cost up to MYR20 :(

But luck got on my side one night when out of boringness, I stumbled upon the Maxis Rewards app again in my phone. Why again? Coz I had it in my phone for a while now ever since Maxis sent an email notifying me about this app. And I had used it to redeem two Buy One Free One TGV Cinemas movie tickets before this.

 Maxis Rewards

Well.. even though Maxis' data connection sucks once in awhile and I have made several complaints through Twitter, undeniably the deals in this app has really helped me in saving quite a bit. And through the night, I have downloaded quite a few passes. But of course I wouldn't missed out the TGV movie tickets deal again since its promo end date is 31st March. Hehe.

Two movies, two persons for the price of MYR20 only. On weekends somemore. Never mind that we were unable to snuggle on a couple seat like we usually do :P Normally a standard seat ticket alone will cost MYR16 each. So we managed to save MYR44 on movie tickets :D

Started off with the movie Need For Speed, which was all about cars, speed and races as deduced from the movie title itself. Movie plot was pretty predictable, hence other than admiring those beautiful and powerful cars, nothing much to shout about for me except that I've learnt of some new models of Ferrari and Lamborghini that are different from the ones I usually see on the street. And I love the white Hummer! 자기야 said it appeared just to be banged. Lol. I m so goin to own one one day. Definitely.

As for 300: Rise Of An Empire, only one word to describe: VIOLENT. But somehow as violent as it was, I seriously believed the movie was too violent until the extent that my fear was nowhere to be found during the whole movie. Nevertheless, I was in awe of the CGI that was considerably flawless and truly admirable. Both movies are some of 자기야's favourite genres hence he should have more valid comments than me. Lol.

And.. I finally got to buy Jamie Teo and Daniel Ong's Twelve Cupcakes! Been following their Twitter regularly, knew that they were expandin to Malaysia but not sure when and where until I first saw it at Sunway Pyramid. Hesitated and ended up not buyin. Saw another branch again at One Utama and didn't buy it too. Until this time, finally bought it with Maxis Rewards deal; Buy Two Free One. So three cupcakes for the price of MYR12 :)

 Twelve Cupcakes

Pretty Much?
Top: Cookies and Cream; Middle: Red Velvet; Bottom: Chocolate Chocolate

Instagrammed the pic and also tagged Jamie and Dan, was so surprised when Jamie replied. Nice to know that she's friendly :) And the cupcakes are delish! The cakes were so soft and when combined with the topping, the sweetness was just nice. Perfect for me, as I m not someone who fancy really sweet stuff. Some other cupcakes I had tried before this were really sweet.

So in between the movies, we walk walk around, bought the cupcakes and also Juice Works. Maxis Rewards also have this promo for Juice Works: buy any drink of Power size and get a Midi size Lychee Cooler for free. Of course we wouldn't let go of this awesome deal, haha.

And then, we saw this.

Vintage Ear Hook!

Fell in love almost immediately but guess what, I didn't buy. Not upon seeing it. It was only after 300 ended before 자기야 dragged me back to the same shop as it was closing and bought it for me. He said it would be my belated White Day pressie. Aww.. how sweet. Hehe.

Wore it out the next day and I love love it!

And this summed up my weekend date :D Thank you 자기야 for being so patient with me and pamperin me as always. Days automatically become brighter when you are with me.

Love you

Love You 1314 ♥

Today is the 1st of March 2014 which is equivalent to 1.3.14, which in Chinese language it will be loosely translated to 一生一世 due to its similar sounds (homophone). According to my beloved Google Translate, 一生一世 is translated to English as 'for life'. So this 1314 is often seen as an auspicious combination of numbers, for the Chinese believe that it will bring good omen in blessing a relationship to last a lifetime.

I m not so much of a pantang (superstitious) person and neither is 자기야 therefore you can trust me when I said I totally forgotten about this date as well as the supposedly lucky meaning behind it. The only time I took notice of this date was when Windi told me she had wanted to hold her wedding on this day. And that was in 2012. So how would I remember?

Woke up a lil later than usual, it's Saturday c'mon haha. 자기야 went to have his car fixed as he will be headin back to his hometown later on so I was waitin for him to be done so that we can grab lunch together before he goes back.

Was walkin towards his car when he reached. He came out of his car to get me, as though I needed some kind of bodyguard protection when it is really like only  10 steps or so away. He hurriedly walked in front of me, somethin out of his norm. Suspectin nothin though, thought he might be in a hurry to head back home.

Now I m startin to believe that it is the most romantic when it is unexpected. For instance, when I saw this :">

자기야, YUSO sweet?? Even though you'd be leavin me alone later, I hereby forgive you for this. HAHA.

My Love

"The rose that you gave me has faded, and wilted away. But, the love tucked in deep inside remains in my heart forever."

Happy 1314 everyone!

Till then, x!

One Night In Muar

初三! Went to Muar, 자기야's hometown, on the third day of CNY, to pay his family a visit. And it was my first time. Not to Muar though, as I had been there before when I was young as my family used to buy pastries from their well-known local shop, Yong Sheng. Rather, it was my first time meeting The Parents. I have seen pictures on Facebook; his younger siblings all added me. Still, it was somethin to be nervous about for me (◕ˇ0ˇ◕。)

Being the good girlfriend that I m, *ahem*, I suggested to 자기야 that I would take a morning bus up to Muar by myself  since the journey from JB will only take at most 2.5 hours, which was considered easy peasy considerin the fact that I always travel to and fro KL-JB.

I usually arrived at the bus station 15 minutes before departure time, but this time round, I was a lil late. Only five minutes left before the bus was due to leave, I was in a state of panic. All because it was my first time takin the bus to Muar and I did not know where the bus was and I couldn't find it. The woman at the counter was of no help at all, instead I got a scoldin from her. Bleh! But thank God for Daddy, my superhero, he managed to find the bus for me and off I went. Obviously I was the last passenger they were waitin for -.-

Like I've mentioned just now, I will always try to arrive early just so that I could go toilet and be well-prepared, even though buses to KL will usually make a stopover for toilet breaks. Assuming that it will be the same, I held my bladder since I did not manage to go to the toilet before going up the bus, thinkin that the bus will soon stop for toilet break. How wrong was I! In the end, I had to bear with the unbearable urge until I reached Muar.

Had lunch at 자기야's home, got grilled by relatives, haha! and then had a touristy visit around town with 자기야. And what's a trip to Muar without these?

Otak-otak!

Usually only get to eat these either at mamaks or hawkers, so was happy to finally have the chance to try the famous otak-otak in Muar. True to its popularity, it was so nice that I actually ate about 20 sticks myself and bought another 100 to bring back to JB :D

This is the famous street whereby most otak-otak stalls are situated at. Despite staying in Muar most of his life, 자기야 didn't know which stall is the most famous one so we ended up tryin those stalls with the most customers before deciding on which to buy from.

We then had dinner at Restaurant Ting Ting 津津生鱼米粉 to have an advance birthday celebration for 자기야's Mum. As it was Chinese New Year, hence they only offered set dinners so we had one of the 7-course dinner. Apparently it was one of the famous restaurants in Muar. Dinner was overall delicious.

After dinner, The Siblings actually asked me, "Can we take pictures with you?" which really shocked me haha. So we ended up taking selfies outside the restaurant with 자기야 being the photographer which explained why he was not in any of pictures below lol.

EJace's Thread of the Day #etotd: Peplum Top from Padini, Shorts from Kitschen, Jelly Ballerina Flats from Jelly Bunny, Bag from Taiwan

After dinner, 자기야 brought me to have a walk around the riverside. We were at this Clock Tower area when we saw alot of people flying kites there, yes, at night when I chanced upon this kite-decorated tree. Special, right? Lol.

After the romantic walk, we then have our supper at one of the cafes in Muar (they really have alot of cafes here). 자기야 decided on this Lotta Cafe. It's like a big bungalow house with indoor and outdoor seating. They have tables set outside on the garden and we actually ate in the dark. No pictures taken except of a piece of cake. Haha. The food was slightly overpriced though and not exactly that exceptional.

Apparently 자기야's best buddies wanted so much to meet me that they actually created a Whatsapp group named "All About Yeong's Gf". Hahaha. Can't believed it until 자기야 showed it to me. So we had a drinking session at another cafe, Read Cafe. Told ya, Muar really has alot of cafes. Gave his buddies a chance to grill me, lol. Drank till 2a.m before heading back to sleep. And with that, ended my one night in Muar :)

Till then, x!

The Day He Made Me Roses

Me love roses. Then again, who doesn't right? Real, fresh, fake, plastic, paper; it does not really matter to me though I would love a variety of it. Contradictin I know. Haha.

Today marks the first time 자기야 personally handmade flowers for me! Reached one of the many milestones in our relationship for the past 10 months. Gosh, only 10 months yet at times I feel like we've been together for a long long time, like 10 years or so?

Anyway, when we first started off being together, he made a promise to buy me somethin for every monthsary of ours. First three months we bought gifts for each other, handmade cards and did all those lovey dovey stuff. Slowly but expectedly, we slacked off after that. Then 자기야 decided to buy me a rose every month to mark that special date and that also he slacked off wtf. From one rose a month, it slowly became one rose every two months. Not that I mind, coz as cliché as it sounds, it's still the thoughts that count afterall ;) He is already considered much much better than me, I did absolutely nothin after the third month #dieinshame #whyamIsolazy

Let me unabashedly admit this. I sort of asked him to make me the roses. How, you may ask. I sent him links on how to make origami flowers -.- The roses he made were actually meant for Valentine's Day. I suggested to him that he should make the roses instead of buyin them due to the high cost of flowers durin the love season. Since I knew he was gonna buy me roses anyway, why not find a cost-saving way right? And I love origami. I have made some origami flowers for his younger sister's graduation too but that's a story for another day.

Sadly but not so sadly, he did not manage to finish makin the flowers in time for V day (I knew it!) Of course I let it go since I did not buy or do anythin for him either #letmedieinshameagainplease And then he surprised me. On our TENTH monthsary :D It's more like one stone killin two birds for him haha. Let you win this time, baby!

What to do with the flowers that were so prettyy? Everythin he does is beautiful to me, don't puke please :P Else than sayin numerous thank-yous with my oh-I-m-so-in-love face, I guess all that was left to do was SELFIES. Lots of them. Hahaha.

Wonder when will be the next time I receive flowers again. Hmm. Hint hint lol.

Till then, x!

♥ 발렌타인 축하해요! ♥

자기야 and I finally had our first Valentine's! :D Well since it is the very first time we are celebrating Valentine's as a couple, I initially thought of making it big with lots of plans in mind. However, plans will always remain as plans when efforts are not done to materialise them :( We blamed it on the hectic schedule we had during Chinese New Year.

And so we slacked in our planning and even on the day itself we had zero planning. 자기야 felt bad as it was our first Valentine's and he assumed that I was expectin somethin. Honestly I did, but after a few failed whirlwind romances, I'd rather things be kept to a minimum. Most importantly is the love between us, not the flowers and gifts.

With no makeup done and heck, I didn't even dress up, we went to work as usual. 자기야 then tried searchin for restaurants so that at least we would have a decent dinner together. Unfortunately though, they no longer accept reservations, only walk-ins were welcomed. So I told 자기야 to just go with the flow and see where it brings us.

We decided to try our luck in Publika since 자기야 has not been there before and I have not fulfilled my promise of bringing him there. After work we just battled our way through the usual rush hour *the horror*

Leading actor and actress of the day!

Reached about 7p.m. we went to look around at the restaurants in which 자기야 has read the reviews and at the end we settled down at Namoo Korean Dessert Cafe n Bistro On The Park (what a long name!).

Cute Mascot!

Luckily it was still early at that time so we managed to get a table quite easily. The table was small though but glad that they had pretty decorations ready to get us into the mood for love hehe.

 Hearts x Balloons

One of the corners in the restaurant. Love the quote.

Still empty! But all reserved though.

Did not know what to order so we agreed upon the Valentine's Day set dinner specially created for the day which made things so much easier. Yay to that! Both 자기야 and I have the word 'indecisive' deeply ingrained into our brains. So thank you Namoo for inadvertently helping us evade an catastrophe argument

Foodies for the night =P~

While waitin for our food to be served, what better things to do than to take selfies? So we camwhore all the way! Lol.

There was actually a waiter photobombin this pic but all thanks to 자기야, he PS-ed the poor guy and replaced him with an extra wooden wall. LOL.

Mr. Act Cute

Dinner was served pretty promptly, however though, the table was super small and all the dishes came altogether. So we had to squeeze here and there for all the food to be placed on the tiny table. Abit annoyed but the food was yums so all was forgiven lol.

Blue & Pink Lemonades

Salad: Tofu Garden Salad

Appetiser: Jabche Pasta

Main #1: BiBi Rice Burger

Main #2: Garlic Soy Chicken

Dessert #1: Salt Ice Cream Popcorn Bingsoo

This was their latest dessert creation and it was major yums! I totally feel like havin one now just by lookin at the pic. No wonder they say, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" and not only to my man's but to mine too!

Dessert #2: Chocolate Cake

Overall, the food was better than expected and we will definitely return for more visits in the future. Especially for the Salt Ice Cream Popcorn Bingsoo. Omgdness, drools.

After dinner, we went walk walk around the area and saw this place where cute little cut-out hearts were hanging on a man-made tree. Selfies' time again! Hahaha. But there were already two couples sitting there takin their selfies, so we hung around a lil until they left to wait for our turn

♥ Thank you my love for makin this Valentine's Day of mine one of kind, one I have never experienced before. Even without expensive roses, gifts and wine, you have given me somethin much better, a memorable moment to be cherished, treasured and remembered forever. ♥
